Known in her Chancel as the Winter Witch, Beulah usually keeps to the colder lands and travels with the winter snows. The habit of trying to catch snowflakes on one's tongue is popular in these lands, not as a children's game, but because it is a part of Beulah's very nature that the snows falling near her will taste sweet. The children fear the sweet snow for Beulah's nature also demands that she feed her Estate with the souls of the young. Before life as a Noble, Beulah was a college student who spent her summers working at a lake resort concession stand (snack bar).
