The Sleeping God, Zachariah Bacon was chosen to be a Noble while he was in a coma. He is in that coma, still, but interacts with the outside world through his Anchors, known in the Chancel as "prophets." Zachariah's prophets are known to share stories with Chancel peasants; stories with strong moral undertones which inspire some of the Chancel zealots. There are rumors that the story of Sleeping Beauty holds hints to how one might awaken the Sleeping God.
